DESIGNER FEES

The SGD recommends that clients should have a clear understanding of the total cost of consultancy services, including likely disbursements and expenses.

Each Registered Member will advise clients on how much they charge for their services. Fees may vary from designer to designer, and can be charged in different ways. Examples include:

  • An hourly or daily rate
  • A fixed percentage of the total contract value
  • An agreed fixed fee

Agreement on fees contributes significantly to the success of a project. Registered Members are aware that, irrespective of the size of the project, clients are expecting and paying for professionalism on every level – financial as well as aesthetic.
