WHO'S WHO AT THE SOCIETY OF GARDEN DESIGNERS
The Society of Garden Designers is governed by the SGD Council. This is a voluntary group of Members, who are elected by the Membership and serve a three-year term.
Each Council member holds one vote, and is responsible for a particular area, such as finance or education.
The Council oversees the running of the organisation and develops its vision, aims and strategy.
It is supported by the Chief Operating Officer (COO) and a number of sub-committees, including adjudication, sponsorship, the SGD Awards and conferences.
It meets approximately 10 times a year.
Other notable volunteers include our network of Regional Co-ordinating Officers, who manage development days and events around the country; and the leaders of our many Cluster Groups, who organise local meetings for Members on a more regular basis.
