Experienced Landscape Architect/Project Leader

Balston Agius is principally focused on a wide range of privately owned projects in the UK, working both as designers and project managers, either as leader or as part of a multi-disciplinary consortium. We work closely with Clients, Consultants, Contractors and Staff and our philosophy subscribes to flexibility and the use of concentrated expertise when required.

We are seeking a competent and experienced Landscape Architect or landscape orientated architect, preferably with 5 years qualified experience (Part 3 LI minimum) to join our friendly practice. The role will also involve a degree of project management but will primarily be office based.

The requirements for the role are:

Qualifications

BA (Hons) Degree in Landscape Architecture – Architecture or allied design discipline
5 years’ qualified working experience
Clean driving licence

Key Technical Skill/Knowledge/Experience

Proficient in AutoCad, Sketch Up, Adobe Suite, NBS Landscape software. Desirable: KeySCAPE and Rhino
Interest and background knowledge of associated environmental issues such as soils and water, ecology
Keen interest and knowledge of plants and planting
Generally conversant in all stages of project development
Experienced in preparation of illustrated plans, visualisations, working drawings and details.
Experienced in the management of up-to-date drawing records and documents

Personal Skills

Confident in liaising with other consultants and those working on site
An organised and efficient approach to completing work within tight and often unpredictable deadlines, working additional hours if necessary
Adaptable to working independently and under direction, whilst also working with other team members

NB: Well behaved, quiet dogs are welcome to be brought to the office
