Landscape Designer

Donohoe Living Landscapes is seeking an experienced Landscape Designer to collaborate on the development of our custom residential designs. You will be contributing to a variety of projects throughout the province, and working directly with our clients, sub-contractors, and our team of designers.

For more than a decade, Donohoe Living Landscapes has been developing thoughtful, bespoke designs for single-family homes throughout British Columbia. Our founder Ryan Donohoe was educated at Inchbald, and we have received numerous awards including the 2021 Western Living Landscape Designer of the Year. You will play a key role in the entire process of development in our growing company.

Job Description:

Collaborate with our landscape architects and designers on concepts and working drawings, and hopefully lead the development of our landscape designs in the near future;
Work with our in-house horticulturalist to produce our stunning planting plans;
Join our project manager in ensuring the construction of our projects are properly executed;
Working directly with clients, contractors, and subcontractors to properly communicate design intent;
Contributing to our ‘Pro Bono’ projects, currently a Covid-19 memorial garden for a local extended care facility;
Collaborating with the team to create show gardens in the near future;
Bring your enthusiasm for landscape designs that push the boundary of what is expected.

Experience:

3+ years working as a Landscape Designer with a focus on residential design;
A diploma or degree in Landscape Design or Landscape Architecture, Horticulture, Botany, or Garden Design;
Skilled understanding of Vectorworks and Adobe Design Suite;
Valid Class 5 Driver’s License.
