The Botanical Gardener, established in 2005, offers a complete garden service from the designer’s original concept, through to construction and maintenance. Based in Putney and members of the Association of Professional Landscapers, we design, build and maintain a fantastic variety of residential gardens throughout London.

We are looking for an experienced Garden Designer able to work on all parts of the design process from initial visit and survey, to developing the masterplan and producing detailed drawings.

Applicants to demonstrate:

Diploma/Degree in Garden Design with 2-3 years minimum relevant experience
Ability to develop outstanding residential garden designs
Well-developed client-facing skills, from discussing design ideas to presenting design concepts
Highly self-motivated with the ability to manage and meet deadlines autonomously
Excellent communication skills both written and verbal. The role will involve dealing directly with clients, staff and suppliers
Preferably able to use Autocard to produce 2D plans and Sketchup for 3D visuals (although other design software considered)
Sound plant and hard landscaping materials knowledge
Understanding & experience of budget restraints
Ability to work to deadlines
Strong focus on client satisfaction

This is a full-time role with salary based on experience.
