Award winning garden designer Matt Haddon MSGD MBALI runs a Yorkshire-based garden design studio, designing gardens throughout Yorkshire and across England, creating contemporary gardens, naturalistically planted, where people and wildlife coexist.

We have an exciting opportunity for a designer with a minimum of 1-2 year’s industry experience to join our rapidly growing studio. We are seeking enthusiastic candidates who will work on a variety of design projects and must have excellent conceptual design and design detailing skills.

The role will be based in York and we can offer flexibility to the hours and/or allow the successful candidate to work partly from home. As a progressive and forward thinking studio we currently work virtually with freelance design provided from Italy.

This is a full time role (with the potential for the role to instead be part-time or freelance - open for discussion with the right candidate).

We are looking for the following skills:

Professional Garden Design training - minimum of Diploma or equivalent
Minimum of 1 - 2 year’s experience in the garden design industry
Excellent Vectorworks skills to produce 2D plans and 3D visuals. Sketchup, Lumion and Photoshop skills preferred but not essential.
Able to produce detailed designs, including sections and elevations, for both hard and soft landscaping, as well as associated schedules and specifications.
Able to work effectively as an individual and as part of a small team.
Able to work to tight deadlines and manage your own workload effectively.
You will be eligible to work in the UK and be fluent in spoken and written English.
