Muddy Wellies Gardens is an established, yet growing garden design, landscape and maintenance business, based near Falmouth in Cornwall. We have several teams building and maintaining gardens for mainly residential and some commercial clients in Cornwall.

You will assist with garden design and surveying work, taking on some projects of your own. You will assist with the associated admin including client liaison, material sourcing and project co-ordination.

You will be willing to help with the project build, learning practical landscape labouring skills from our landscaping team whilst ensuring that the team are executing the project according to the agreed design.

This is a fantastic opportunity for the right person to be part of a growing business. The ideal candidate will have a design qualification or experience in a similar design role in a garden design and build business. You will need to be familiar with using Sketch-up and Microsoft Office. You will be self-motivated, reliable and have a friendly yet professional approach with clients and colleagues.

Report to: Our in house Garden Designer

Responsibilities

Attend select client meetings with the Designer.
Assist the Garden Designer with large garden surveys or where appropriate, undertake the surveys alone.
Take a brief from the Garden Designer.
Create visualisations and mood boards, to support the garden design.
Design or assistance with planting plans.
Garden design layout plans.
Capable of producing bills of quantities, once design is approved and quotation is required.
Supporting the Designer in setting-out plants, checking plant quality, quantity and specimen is correct.
Landscape Labouring
Assist with the co-ordination and timing of the project build

Your essential attributes

Qualified garden designer, preferably with experience of working in a dynamic garden design and landscaping company.
Excellent communication skills.
Good written and verbal communication skills.
Solid organizational skills including attention to detail, effective planning and resourceful.
Physically fit for on site labouring able to take direction learn on the job

Your desirable attributes

Good educational background, preferably in design and landscaping.
Experience in landscape labouring or willing to learn

Qualifications

Garden Design qualification.
Strong working knowledge of Sketch-up.
