Landscape Architect/Garden Designer

We are looking to recruit an experienced Landscape Architect/Garden Designer to join our design team in Chichester. We are an established, yet growing garden design studio with a diverse portfolio.

The ideal candidate would be creative, enthusiastic and share our passion design and landscaping with excellent design skills and good construction and plant knowledge.

Salary: £34,000.00-£36,000.00 DOE

Start date: November 2020

Report to: Director

Key objectives of the role:

Create beautiful, feasible and compelling designs that can satisfy a range of clients.

Oversee and manage designs from start to finish.

Help develop processes and techniques along side the team.

Responsibilities:

Meeting clients independently, to take briefs and to present designs.
Surveying sites independently.
Good plant knowledge and ability to create imaginative planting plans.
Designing well annotated and presented 2D Vectorworks plans and 3D models using SketchUp.
General office and showroom administration.
Demonstrate enthusiasm and attention to detail in all aspects of the role.

Essential attributes:

Fully qualified garden designer/landscape architect.
Have at least four years post graduate work experience within similar roles.
Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
Excellent standards of design and presentation.
Ability to build excellent working relationships.
Good horticultural knowledge.
Familiarity with Pages/Word Numbers/Excel and the Adobe suite
Solid organisational and planning skills.
Flexibility to meet clients.
Must have a full UK driving license and vehicle.
Must be within driving distance (preferably maximum 30 mins) of our studio and willing to travel.

Required qualifications

Qualified in Landscape Architecture or Garden Design, ideally to degree level

(diplomas/recognised certification from accredited institutions considered)
