Download Event to Calendar

What could be a better place to focus on the use of trees and shrubs than the magnificent Exbury Gardens in springtime?  Garden Director Marie-Louise Agius will talk about 'Why trees and shrubs?’  Looking at the plants themselves and how to understand them; leading into ways to successfully incorporate them into gardens and landscapes.

Joined by Jim Gardiner, former Director of Horticulture at the RHS, who firmly believes that woody plants are important for today and our tomorrows. His talk will focus on how to select trees and shrubs to create the best interest through the seasons.  We will also spend time walking in the woodland gardens with Exbury Head Gardener Tom Clarke.
