Invasive Species Week - Tackling Invasive Species in the Brecon Beacons

Download Event to Calendar

A number of Invasive Non-Native Species (INNS) threaten our native species and habitats in the Brecon Beacons National Park and across Wales and the UK today.

This talk will inform you of the INNS or Invasive Non-Native Species that inhabit and grow in the Park, the impact they have and what you can do help map & eradicate them.

The talk is at the start of INNS week, an annual event to raise awareness of invasive species and how everyone can help to prevent their spread.

This event is one of a series BIS are running to promote the wildlife that makes its home within the Brecon Beacons National Park (BBNP) and is thanks to funding from the Brecon Beacons National Park and CLIF bar. Although its focus is on the BBNP and promoting wildlife to individuals and communities within the Park the topics covered will be equally valid across Wales and the UK.
