£1m for new learning centre

The RHS has secured a grant for the Wisley learning centre

A grant of £1 million has been donated to the Royal Horticultural Society from the Enterprise M3 Local Enterprise Partnership. It is to support the development of the new National Centre for Horticultural Science and Learning at RHS Garden Wisley in Surrey.

The education hub is set to become a centre of excellence, promoting innovation and world-leading research to support the science, art and practice of horticulture. Due to open in 2020, the centre will allow the public to see RHS scientists at work.
