Belderbos Landscapes is an established and growing landscape design, construction and maintenance business, based in Colliers Wood, South West London. We have several teams building, planting and maintaining gardens and outside spaces for residential and commercial clients all over London and the Home Counties.

We are looking for an assistant to the office-based Project Manager who can provide consistent support across our live construction and planting sites. You will work closely with the Project Management team to guarantee a prompt and professional turnaround of hard and soft landscaping projects from start to finish. This may suit someone who has experience of working in the industry but wants to be more involved in the behind the scenes organisation of projects.

Responsibilities

 

 

  • Working closely with the Back Office Project Manager on a day-to-day basis.
  • Using on-line PM software.
  • Resource scheduling so each project has sufficient people with skills required.
  • Ordering of basic landscaping materials from suppliers.
  • Indirect reporting to company Accountant.
  • Preparation of new project administration.
  • Office point of contact for project and general office queries.
  • Update weekly PM meeting notes with designated actions.
  • Ongoing communication with clients as required and follow-up at project end to ensure complete satisfaction.
  • General office support.

 

Essential Attributes

 

 

  • Previous project management experience.
  • Eye for detail and accuracy.
  • Excellent level of computer literacy, particularly Excel and ability to familiarise with online PM software platforms quickly.
  • Pro-active attitude all-round.
  • Articulate verbal and written communication skills, ability to communicate professionally and effectively with several different stakeholders such as colleagues, clients and suppliers.
  • Motivated by the smooth running of the projects, by accomplishing tasks every day and by a job well-done. Motivated and fulfilled by practical achievement and getting things done.
  • Honest, trustworthy and reliable.
  • A can-do attitude.

 

Desirable Attributes

 

  • Experience of working in a similar role within the landscaping or construction industry.
  • An interest in landscaping, construction and/or garden design.
  • PM qualification such as Prince 2.
