AV Design, started by Bradley Burgess (ex-KLC) is a small, but fast-growing mixed Garden and Interior Design business with projects in Surrey and Berkshire.

Bradley is looking for a dynamic and motivated Mid to Senior level Garden Designer who is eager to grow with the business, with experience and is confident with software and budgeting.

Location: Working from home, and site visits roughly 1-2 days a week

Role-type: Full-time or part-time (hours reasonably flexible)

Salary: Dependent on experience

Start date: ASAP

About AV Design:

Our design philosophy is classic with a twist. We work on both residential and commercial projects around the home counties. We’ve featured in a number of significant publications including House & Garden and that’s a reflection of our Moto. We want to be the best at what we do. We offer courses to our team, with the SGD (Society of Garden Designers) and other training events.

Responsibilities are varied but will include:

Creating visuals
Coming up with schemes and ideas
Project managing on site
General administration including budgets

Requirements:

Ambitious, motivated and flexible
Competent with VectorWorks, SketchUp, Excel, Word, Powerpoint and rendering software (although that’s not all essential)
Able to project manage
Knowledgeable in terms of health & safety, contracts, schedules, deadlines
Confident liaising with other professionals within the industry (QS’s, Architects, Structural Engineers, Suppliers and Project Managers)
Able to work on both residential and commercial jobs
Organised
Fluent in English
Proactive
Willing to work on significant projects as well as the smaller projects
Ability to think outside of the box
An eye for detail
A car and driving licence to get to sites

Non-essential, but desired skills:

Social media savvy, PR friendly, client facing, resourceful at sourcing
