Richard Easton is an experienced garden designer and the course tutor in Garden Design at the Northern School of Garden Design at Craven College, Skipton, with many years of experience in both teaching and the practical applications of garden design.
The workshop will cover: construction detailing; the Hardscape tool; 3D construction details; the Data tag; creating reports and spreadsheets; basic 3D modelling.
It is essential that you are familiar with the Introduction to Vectorworks workshop and probably also the Planting Design in Vectorworks workshop, because the basic techniques will have been covered in those two workshops.
You will need: a computer/laptop of suitable speed/RAM to work complex programmes (probably make sure other programmes are closed for this workshop); a basic mouse with left and right click and a scroll wheel. N.b. a touch pad on a laptop and a Mac Magic Mouse are not really suitable for CAD. You will be given the opportunity to work along with me during the workshop, and will be given a handbook. Think about how you want to follow - for example, many students have found the best approach is to log in to Zoom with a tablet whilst working on their laptop.
