Plant maintenance is essential for longevity of plant material, colour and form, ensuring any garden design continues to deliver impact throughout the year. By the end of this session you will
- Understand the importance of considering maintenance when designing planting plans
- Have the knowledge to maintain a number of plants specifically perennials
- Understand a number of techniques used to maintain plants
- Understand the times of year when plant maintenance is recommended
- Improve your own planting plans
PLEASE NOTE: Parking is available at the venue at a cost of £0.50 per car.
COVID 19 precautions: We encourage all attendees to take a lateral flow test up to 24 hours before the start of the event.
Course Tutor: Rosy Hardy
Having won 24 RHS Chelsea Gold medals and numerous awards for her garden designs and floral displays, and being an RHS Master Grower for her nursery, Hardy’s Cottage Garden Plants, which specialises in herbaceous perennials; Rosy Hardy brings a depth of knowledge and experience which can help Garden Designers improve their own practice.
Rosy is an RHS Judge and the Vice President of the RHS. She also mentors RHS Chelsea hopefuls through Project Giving Back.
To get the most from these sessions, students are encouraged to bring their own planting plans, be willing to share their own real life challenges and successes and to have their own questions ready for the session.
