The 20th anniversary of Borde Hill’s annual Sculpture Exhibition will be marked by 80 pieces set against the backdrop of 17 acres of landscaped gardens. Sculptures on show will include a kinetic wind sculpture Transfiguration by Will Carr, Icarus I by Nicola Godden, and Narcissus by Teresa Wells. Open until 30 September. www.bordehill.co.uk

Also this month, London Stone is collaborating with the London College of Garden Design to offer a free day course in planting design on 18 June, taught by Andrew Wilson FSGD. The course is aimed at landscapers who want to develop their understanding of this area and how it might engage and impact on their business. Find out more and book a place at www.lcgd.org.uk

Will Carr’s kinetic wind sculptureThe team at Garden Days Out is offering a one-day tour on 20 June of two exceptional gardens by celebrated designers. The first is Hanham Court in South Gloucestershire, designed by former owners Julian and Isabel Bannerman, and restored by present owners Richard and Julia Boissevain. The second is designer Arne Maynard’s Allt-y-bela in Monmouthshire. To book, contact j.wookey@btinternet.com

Also on 20 June, Rosie Yeomans is teaching an SGD day course on designing a kitchen garden at Rode Hall in Cheshire. Illustrated lectures will cover everything from site suitability and maintenance implications, to kitchen garden styles and crop choices. The focus will be design and specification rather than minute detail about growing and harvesting, although questions are welcome. If you can’t make this date, the course will run again on 12 July in Cooksbridge, East Sussex. Book a place and find out about other SGD development days at www.sgd.org.uk/designer-development-days
