Following this year's sell-out Autumn Conference we are delighted to announce that tickets for the SGD Spring 2020 Conference are now on sale.
Join us on 25th April 2020 to hear an impressive line-up of speakers lift the lid on the use of colour exploring the subject from all angles and explaining how the right application - not only in plants but also in hard landscaping - can enhance us as individuals, illuminate our connections with the gardens and landscapes we create, and influence the way we use space.
Colour is a vast subject. Good use of colour can play a major role in the successful outcome of a project and is not determined by daylight alone. At what point in the project should colour be considered? How do we approach designing with colour for people from different cultures? What colours do our pollinators prefer? Do children really like bright primary colours?
The Spring 2020 SGD conference, COLOUR: the art, science and experience will answer all these questions and more, revealing how the use of colour can change our perception of space, alter our mood and how it can even be used in subconscious ways to control our behaviour.
The conference will be chaired by Stephanie Mahon, award-winning editor of the Garden Design Journal.
