Doug Holloway MSGD

Doug Holloway is a landscape architect, and Registered Member of the SGD. He has been designing gardens and landscapes for 20 years. His design studio is based in Oxfordshire, he works nationally and internationally. He is passionate about design and transforming places. He aims to create landscapes that appeal to his clients’ deeper sensibility. His particular hands-on approach has evolved over many years of garden design & construction practice. His design process draws on his visual and kinaesthetic sensitivity and his intuitive spatial understanding.

‘We design thriving living landscapes which feel in balance with their surroundings, spaces with a newly defined sense of place. Our aim is to create refined, contemporary and sculptural landscapes, with consideration for the environment. Architectural forms and curves, structural and architectural trees and shrubs, vibrant & luminous planting that spills over terraces and catches the light.

Whether working sensitively with historic properties, designing contemporary city gardens, or developing a rural landscape, our focus is on designing gardens that naturally extend and enrich the internal space of the buildings they surround. Our ultimate aim, is that our clients feel inspired and energised by the landscape or garden, every day for years to come.’
